A pretty, and pretty ancient, false-color image of embryos labeled with 3 different fluorescent dyes.

State-of-the-art technology for the 1970s: 3 monochromatic images taken with a low-light SIT camera, using different fluorescent filter sets, here overlaid onto each other in red, green and blue channels.

I ran into it recently, and it reminded me of the season...
